I had a great experience with San Juan Driving School. Not only are they quick to help you pass your test and improve your abilities as a new driver, they're also there to support you and build your confidence on the road. The receptionist to the instructor that was assigned to me, Marcelo, They all made San Juan an amazing place. I am overjoyed to say that I passed my test today but I can't take all the credit. San Juan has helped sharpen and refine my abilities as a new driver to be able to thrive on the road. I couldn't be more grateful & appreciative of the support, patience and care San Juan gives out to every one. It's also worth mentioning that 3 of my older sisters across the past decade attended San Juan and easily passed their test. I 100% recommend you working with San Juan!

My license expired eight years ago but I used to be a vehicle owner here. So as a permitted driver, the basics were muscle memory - but - I needed a car to practice parallel parking, right of way at stop sign intersections and 3 pt.turns (the 'SJDS' "Brooklyn U-Turn") before feeling confident in taking the road test.

After my first lesson with Harry I was slightly worried about being in a car alone with a male - which COMPLETELY melted away in the first five seconds. Harry is super professional but not dry, he made it fun. Gave me some crucial pointers that helped me pass my exam. He has a natural intuition for anticipating drivers' instincts, teaching in a way best suited for the individual, knowing when to converse, joke, ask questions, etc. It felt like we were old friends by the end of it. Will 100% be requesting him for a highway lesson to get my long distance game back on point now that I'm licensed.

RAQUEL! She is like the mother ship. Always remembers people's names & makes the space warm and welcoming. Raquel went the extra mile to help me reschedule my road test and lessons when I had an injury. I was incredibly nervous on the day of my road test knowing Harry couldn't be there - so being in Raquel's group felt like a gift from the Gods. BTW, Raquel is an excellent driver. Snagged some of her moves for my test & I crushed it (her pep talk didn't hurt, either). There is no recommendation great enough for this crew. They are honest, informed af, compassionate and kind.

I had an amazing experience with San Juan and couldn’t be more grateful for the help they gave me in passing my road test. I had been assigned with instructor Marcelo, and he was patient, and incredibly supportive throughout the entire process. I recommend taking two back-to-back 45 min classes if given the opportunity, thats where I was able to retain the most information. Other than that, in ever class I took they broke everything down clearly, helped me build confidence behind the wheel, and made sure I was fully prepared for test day. I highly recommend San Juan to anyone looking for quality instruction and real results.

I couldn’t ask for a better experience. I took a little over 20 lessons, and with each lesson, I began to gain more confidence and learn new skills. My instructor, Raquel, was the best, always encouraging, patient, and very profound. She offered me many helpful tips/advice that will go a long way when I finally drive on the road myself (Highly recommend her). If you’re in or near the area, I strongly suggest visiting San Juan, as they display their kindness and strong support in preparing you to pass your driver's test. When all’s done, you’ll learn a lot of new skills and see your driving improve too.

Thank you San Juan Driving school for helping pass my road test and get my drivers license!! I recently had to exchange my out of state license to a NY STATE License this year but my drivers license expired back in February of 2025 and I tried to exchange it September of 2025. So I had to take my drivers test all over again. After passing my permit test and receiving my permit all in the same day on Sept 15,2025, I immediately looked for a driving school that can help me get my drivers license in a timely manner. That’s when I ran into San Juan Driving School. From the first phone call, I knew they were the perfect driving school for me. I registered and paid for 3 driving lessons(which I recommend), a 5 hour pre course class, and a road test (with a car included)and finished everything within 4 weeks of getting my permit. Straight up the best driving school in Brooklyn. If I could give more stars I would. I came in as a new driver and within 7 driving classes I felt confident enough to take on my road test. I failed my first attempt but there was no one to blame but myself, my nerves had got the best of me, but today was my second attempt and the passed almost flawlessly. I PASSED - on my first try too! I think I took about 10-12 classes, not sure. My instructor was Oscar! He’s truly the best. I’ve tried driving before at other schools and it never worked out. I’m one of those people that makes things difficult for myself so it was nice to have a super patient instructor like Oscar. I never envisioned myself being able to drive or even passing the road test because I was having such a difficult time getting the basic concepts down. From day 1, Oscar was able to effectively break things down in a way that made sense and was tailored to ME. That’s what I like about him as an instructor! If you don’t get something, he will break it down multiple times until he finds a way you do understand. 10/10, highly recommend the school as well because they were extremely accommodating the entire time! The owner is also very nice and cares about the students too!! If you’re scared to drive or think you can’t do it, sign up here!! You’ll see that you can do it. Good luck!!

Based on my experience, I would recommend choosing this school for driving lessons. Staff are friendly, sympathetic and professional. Your able to reschedule classes you can’t attend, you have the ability to choose other instructors and able to contact them easily. Almost 99% of the times they’ll be able to pickup the phone. In my experience I had Alex as my instructor, I would highly recommend anyone to choose him as there instructor. Alex knows how to obtain the learners trust and how to work on the individuals confidence on the road. He teaches you everything that’s going to be asked for on the on road test. His teaching style is so effective and he knows how to question and make analogies that will stick with the learner for the rest of his life. Alex basically became a mentor, and I learned a lot from him in regards to what to do on the road. Something that will always stick with me that Alex says is that driving is a privilege that we are given that can easily be revoked. I HIGHLY recommend this school if your debating about any other school.

If something does not fit with your schedule, just contact them and they fix it rather quickly. My instructor was Oscar and he was really patient and helped me get comfortable behind the wheel. Although I had my permit for many years, I had minimal driving experience and was very nervous for this Road Test, specifically the parking aspect of the test. Jocelyn is an excellent instructor! She’s really nice & instructs without criticism, though I am sure they are all great! I will definitely be referring everyone I know to San Juan! For anyone looking to take driving lessons or their road test I would highly recommend getting started at San Juan Driving School. Raquel was a great help in scheduling all 3 lessons and my road test in such a timely manner, as I got it all done in less than a month. And my driving instructor Oscar was super helpful. He is very experienced and informative and takes his time explaining what it is that needs correction. I Also want to mention the guys who drive you to the actual road test. They make sure to make you feel comfortable and not nervous on your big day. This was not the first driving school I checked out but I couldn’t be happier I chose it because They helped me get my license 🙂

I signed up for classes at San Juan Driving School and was blessed to meet Alex. I had never been behind the wheel before and felt very nervous and apprehensive about driving. Alex was beyond patient and made me feel very much at ease, like I could conquer anything with practice and a positive outlook. Although I didn’t pass my road test on my first try, I don’t blame Alex as he prepared me to the fullest. I was able to control my nerves the second time around and owe it to Alex for being a superb teacher.

The staff at San Juan is also very friendly and helpful. Scheduling was easy and my questions were always answered in a professional manner. I thank my instructor, Alex, for helping me meet one of my goals and highly recommend him for a first-time driver like myself or anyone needing to touch up on their driving skills.

Took my road test today & PASSED ! I’ve always worked in retail and one thing I’ve always look for is customer satisfaction. I had gone to a previous driving school just to ask on pricing and the minute I walked in they were rude with an attitude I literally walked right out ! SAN JUAN DRIVING SCHOOL IS THE PLACE TO GO! The minute I walked in Raquel had such a good vibe and greeted me! Super friendly and professional. They make you feel comfortable and answer all your questions. They even help you choose which package is right for you. I’ve had different instructors during my lessons and they’re ALL AMAZING! I don’t have a complaint about anything OR anyone ! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This driving school is the best school I have taken my driving lessons at. Jocelyn was my instructor throughout all of my lessons. My experience with this school was amazing ! The ladies and staff at the office were so kind, patient with me and friendly. They helped me book my classes and road test within my time Frame that I wanted .My instructor was Jocelyn. She’s the best instructor anyone could ever have. Extremely sweet & friendly She Always made me feel super comfortable , was always extremely patient with me. Always encouraged me that I will do great and pushed me to strive when I would get inpatient with my self and struggle with parking .she never made it super serious she made it fun but straight to the point Where I enjoyed driving and looked forward to having my driving classes . she’s the reason why I passed my road test I told her I could not fail and she made sure I did not fail .my parking was horrible and I had came along thanks to her showing me how to fix my self for the road test and overall just be confident in my driving I would recommend Jhoselyn to anyone looking to pass your road test but not only that to teach you to become a safe and good driver .

This is a really good school ! My instructor was Jocelyn. She’s the best instructor anyone could ever have. Always made me feel comfortable , was always extremely patient with me. If you take classes here I highly recommend You ask for her. She’s the reason why I passed with only taking just 3 weeks of lessons! She’s an amazing teacher , especially with showing how to parallel park. I always thought that I would struggle with that but she’s shown me how to do it perfectly every time and if not how to fix myself for the road test. Loved my experience from top to bottom at San Juan! The admin folks were so kind, patient with me and friendly. They helped me book a road test within my schedule request, and helped me book 5 lessons (I am an semi-experienced driver!) in advance of the road test so I could feel confident to pass the particulars you need to know for an NYC road test! Prices are fair.

I was lucky enough to have Jocelyn as my instructor for each lesson, and was happy to have that consistency. Jocelyn was amazing, she was kind, very patient, gave great instruction and tips to help me pass, and is overall a very hardworker and nice to be around! As a woman, it felt amazing to have such a thoughtful instructor.

I was able to ace my road test with all their help memorizing each rule and safety factor. Everyone at San Juan I interacted with was pleasant and helped boost my confidence! The employees all seem happy to do what they do in that office 🙂

Would highly recommend to anyone.

I am 18 and wanted to learn to drive I had some past experience but not a lot. I got 10 driving lesson and it was the right choice! It was very good price I bought it with my birthday money 🙂 Notably Raquel is very kind and helps you pick dates for lessons and she is very understanding. My instructor Jhocelyn was the best I love her so much she was so kind and helpful throughout the whole thing I was able to pass the test on the first try thanks to her. I highly recommend this school to learn to drive, especially for young people because they made me feel comfortable even though I am a young driver and did not doubt me. This is an amazing school. When I came into the office to set up classes. They listen to me and ask me questions before helping me figure which package would work best for my needs. They are not just about money (like so many places I've been)but making sure you are comfortable and passing your first time taking the road test. I purchase 10 classes and I pass my road test first time taking it. I owe it all to Oscar he is amazing teacher, patience, Professional, communicates very well. As someone who has also taken classes at one other driving school in the past, I can say with confidence that San Juan Driving School has been a great experience. Between excellent instructors who are calm, collected, and insightful (who will not constantly reach over and drive for you) and excellent communication throughout the entire process (someone was always available whenever I called with questions or for clarification, and they will call/text the day before to confirm appointments), I was very happy with every interaction I had with them. Everyone was friendly and I was never on the receiving end of bad attitude either in person or on the phone.

As someone who does not speak Spanish, I was initially a little hesitant about the quality of the education I would have here, but with the exception of taking slightly longer to schedule my 5-hour class (there are fewer English versions of this class available), my experiences here have been overwhelmingly positive!

I passed my road test earlier today on my first try and I am happy I chose San Juan Driving School to guide me here!

I PASSED my road test today !!! all thanks to Jocelyn ☺️ she’s the best Instructor, patient and very calm. She gives out great pointers when parking and making turns. I only took 3 classes at the beginning but then we came to a conclusion to take 2 extra classes to be on the safe side and be ready. Thank you so much Jocelyn. San Juan driving school has the most patient and professional instructors. I took 15 classes with them and my road test. I have never been behind the wheel before and was very nervous. They take you to a quiet neighborhood in ridgewood and teach you the basics before putting you in the driver's seat. They make sure you are aware of your mistakes but make sure you know how to fix them. My last couple of classes they tell you in what direction to drive and act like it's the road test. I love this because it gets your mind set ready as if it was the road test and they absolutely make sure you ready. The instructors Camacho William and Mateo are all amazing.

Best driving experience of all time. My instructors were Raul & Ralph and they were both amazing. Very calm, informative, and detailed. They break it down for you in such an easy way that as a first time driver you're able to execute and learn quickly with how detailed and patient they are. Amazing experience, passed the road test on my first try after only 5 lessons and the 5-hour exam. Highly recommended, would give them 10 stars if I could!

I had some driving experience and I decided just to give it a shot and took my first driving test without preparation. I failed it in less then 5 minutes and started looking for a driving school. San Juan was the closest one to where I live and I liked their prices so I decided to go with them. I took 8 driving classes with 3 different instructors and I think it’s the best because they all give you some good tips and notes. Every one of them were very helpful and patient with me. Staff at the office is also very cool and professional. I’m very happy I chose them.
