I couldn’t ask for a better experience. I took a little over 20 lessons, and with each lesson, I began to gain more confidence and learn new skills. My instructor, Raquel, was the best, always encouraging, patient, and very profound. She offered me many helpful tips/advice that will go a long way when I finally drive on the road myself (Highly recommend her). If you’re in or near the area, I strongly suggest visiting San Juan, as they display their kindness and strong support in preparing you to pass your driver's test. When all’s done, you’ll learn a lot of new skills and see your driving improve too.
I took many lessons at a previous driving school but failed twice. Once I came to San Juan Driving School I only took 4 lessons and I passed in my first try here! Absolutely tremendous service and they do everything to make sure you pass! 100 percent recommend!

I recently had to exchange my out of state license to a NY STATE License this year but my drivers license expired back in February of 2025 and I tried to exchange it September of 2025. So I had to take my drivers test all over again. After passing my permit test and receiving my permit all in the same day on Sept 15,2025, I immediately looked for a driving school that can help me get my drivers license in a timely manner. That’s when I ran into San Juan Driving School. From the first phone call, I knew they were the perfect driving school for me. I registered and paid for 3 driving lessons(which I recommend), a 5 hour pre course class, and a road test (with a car included)and finished everything within 4 weeks of getting my permit. San Juan is a great driving school! took 20 classes and passed on the first try. I'm also 16 years old, showing that despite my age I was able to pass first try. When I signed up for classes they explained the packages, the process of the road test, and scheduling which made the whole process very smooth. To say I was nervous to learn driving at my age is an understatement. I'm so fortunate I found a school that made everything so seamless. Straight up the best driving school in Brooklyn. If I could give more stars I would. I came in as a new driver and within 7 driving classes I felt confident enough to take on my road test. I failed my first attempt but there was no one to blame but myself, my nerves had got the best of me, but today was my second attempt and the passed almost flawlessly. Thank you so much to everyone inside the office, they’re always willing to help and our always on top of everything to make sure you make it in time to your classes and road test. I’m also very grateful because they were able to find me fastest road test date and also helped me get another road test 1 week after my fist attempt. I PASSED - on my first try too! I think I took about 10-12 classes, not sure. My instructor was Oscar! He’s truly the best. I’ve tried driving before at other schools and it never worked out. I’m one of those people that makes things difficult for myself so it was nice to have a super patient instructor like Oscar. I never envisioned myself being able to drive or even passing the road test because I was having such a difficult time getting the basic concepts down. From day 1, Oscar was able to effectively break things down in a way that made sense and was tailored to ME. That’s what I like about him as an instructor! If you don’t get something, he will break it down multiple times until he finds a way you do understand. 10/10, highly recommend the school as well because they were extremely accommodating the entire time! The owner is also very nice and cares about the students too!! If you’re scared to drive or think you can’t do it, sign up here!! You’ll see that you can do it. Good luck!!
Based on my experience, I would recommend choosing this school for driving lessons. Staff are friendly, sympathetic and professional. Your able to reschedule classes you can’t attend, you have the ability to choose other instructors and able to contact them easily. Almost 99% of the times they’ll be able to pickup the phone. In my experience I had Alex as my instructor, I would highly recommend anyone to choose him as there instructor. Alex knows how to obtain the learners trust and how to work on the individuals confidence on the road. He teaches you everything that’s going to be asked for on the on road test. His teaching style is so effective and he knows how to question and make analogies that will stick with the learner for the rest of his life. Alex basically became a mentor, and I learned a lot from him in regards to what to do on the road. Something that will always stick with me that Alex says is that driving is a privilege that we are given that can easily be revoked. I HIGHLY recommend this school if your debating about any other school.

I highly recommend this driving school. The office staff was very accommodating, their communication throughout the process was impeccable. They were able match me with one of their very best instructor’s. ALEX took me from a complete novice to a confident and safe driver within a matter of days (3 to be exact). His friendly approach, attention to detail and demand for perfection helped me pass my test with flying colours.

Highly recommend this driving school. I got the package with ten classes and was able to pass my road test on the first try. The staff is really friendly and professional. If something does not fit with your schedule, just contact them and they fix it rather quickly. My instructor was Oscar and he was really patient and helped me get comfortable behind the wheel. I went in not ever being behind the wheel to being comfortable and making little to no mistakes. If you can get classes with the same instructor I highly recommend it. For one of my classes I did have it with Stephanie. She was really sweet and helpful, calming me down before my road test. Thank you once again!

The 5-hour class was conducted in Spanish and english. However, I think it would have been quicker and easier to follow if it’s in one language at a time.

Oscar is an amazing instructor as well as the others, I learned a lot from each one of them. Being able to drive a variety of vehicles gave me great experience. I appreciate the patience that they had with me, especially since I suffer from anxiety. Oscar made me feel comfortable and confident with my driving skills. Hands down the best driving school I’ve attended. They were extremely accommodating and I passed on my first try! I decided to stick with Jhoselyn as my instructor for all of my lessons as she was extremely thorough and made sure to let me know what areas I needed to work on and it paid off!! I passed my Road Test today with the help of San Juan Driving School! Although I had my permit for many years, I had minimal driving experience and was very nervous for this Road Test, specifically the parking aspect of the test. I communicated this with the San Juan instructor I was assigned to, Jocelyn and she made sure to put so much focus into parking that I felt confident the day of my test! Jocelyn is an excellent instructor! She’s really nice & instructs without criticism, though I am sure they are all great! I will definitely be referring everyone I know to San Juan! For anyone looking to take driving lessons or their road test I would highly recommend getting started at San Juan Driving School. Raquel was a great help in scheduling all 3 lessons and my road test in such a timely manner, as I got it all done in less than a month. And my driving instructor Oscar was super helpful. He is very experienced and informative and takes his time explaining what it is that needs correction. I Also want to mention the guys who drive you to the actual road test. They make sure to make you feel comfortable and not nervous on your big day. I signed up for classes at San Juan Driving School and was blessed to meet Alex. I had never been behind the wheel before and felt very nervous and apprehensive about driving. Alex was beyond patient and made me feel very much at ease, like I could conquer anything with practice and a positive outlook. Although I didn’t pass my road test on my first try, I don’t blame Alex as he prepared me to the fullest. I was able to control my nerves the second time around and owe it to Alex for being a superb teacher.

This is a really good school ! My instructor was Jocelyn. She’s the best instructor anyone could ever have. Always made me feel comfortable , was always extremely patient with me. If you take classes here I highly recommend You ask for her. She’s the reason why I passed with only taking just 3 weeks of lessons! She’s an amazing teacher , especially with showing how to parallel park. I always thought that I would struggle with that but she’s shown me how to do it perfectly every time and if not how to fix myself for the road test. I highly recommend for anyone looking to take classes to call San Juan driving school and ask for her !
Loved my experience from top to bottom at San Juan! The admin folks were so kind, patient with me and friendly. They helped me book a road test within my schedule request, and helped me book 5 lessons (I am an semi-experienced driver!) in advance of the road test so I could feel confident to pass the particulars you need to know for an NYC road test! Prices are fair.
I was lucky enough to have Jocelyn as my instructor for each lesson, and was happy to have that consistency. Jocelyn was amazing, she was kind, very patient, gave great instruction and tips to help me pass, and is overall a very hardworker and nice to be around! As a woman, it felt amazing to have such a thoughtful instructor.
I was able to ace my road test with all their help memorizing each rule and safety factor. Everyone at San Juan I interacted with was pleasant and helped boost my confidence! The employees all seem happy to do what they do in that office 🙂

Took my driving exam today and passed thanks to Alex ! He’s a excellent instructor. Everyone else is great too. Very respectful and attentive .They will prepare you in everything and make sure you’ll pass the first time.
I am 18 and wanted to learn to drive I had some past experience but not a lot. I got 10 driving lesson and it was the right choice! It was very good price I bought it with my birthday money 🙂 Notably Raquel is very kind and helps you pick dates for lessons and she is very understanding. My instructor Jhocelyn was the best I love her so much she was so kind and helpful throughout the whole thing I was able to pass the test on the first try thanks to her. I highly recommend this school to learn to drive, especially for young people because they made me feel comfortable even though I am a young driver and did not doubt me. This is an amazing school. When I came into the office to set up classes. They listen to me and ask me questions before helping me figure which package would work best for my needs. They are not just about money (like so many places I've been)but making sure you are comfortable and passing your first time taking the road test. I purchase 10 classes and I pass my road test first time taking it. I owe it all to Oscar he is amazing teacher, patience, Professional, communicates very well. He was straight to the point with directions. I RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL TO ANYONE if you want to pass and what great learning experience. Thank you San Juan driving school.
Took my road test yesterday and I PASSED!!! All thanks to Jhocelyn! She helped me get over my fear of driving. She was understanding and made me feel very comfortable. She was very honest with me if I needed extra lessons or not .She also gave me great tips to pass my road test , she is a great person. Overall, My experience at San Juan Driving School was great! Had a very good experience at this driving school. I had Jocelyn and Oscar as teachers and they were both very patient and understanding. Lots of constructive criticism combined with positive reinforcement to really help you improve your driving. Passed on my first try! Would definitely recommend this school to others.

As someone who has also taken classes at one other driving school in the past, I can say with confidence that San Juan Driving School has been a great experience. Between excellent instructors who are calm, collected, and insightful (who will not constantly reach over and drive for you) and excellent communication throughout the entire process (someone was always available whenever I called with questions or for clarification, and they will call/text the day before to confirm appointments), I was very happy with every interaction I had with them. Everyone was friendly and I was never on the receiving end of bad attitude either in person or on the phone.
As someone who does not speak Spanish, I was initially a little hesitant about the quality of the education I would have here, but with the exception of taking slightly longer to schedule my 5-hour class (there are fewer English versions of this class available), my experiences here have been overwhelmingly positive!
I passed my road test earlier today on my first try and I am happy I chose San Juan Driving School to guide me here!

I PASSED my road test today !!! all thanks to Jocelyn ☺️ she’s the best Instructor, patient and very calm. She gives out great pointers when parking and making turns. I only took 3 classes at the beginning but then we came to a conclusion to take 2 extra classes to be on the safe side and be ready. Thank you so much Jocelyn. San Juan driving school has the most patient and professional instructors. I took 15 classes with them and my road test. I have never been behind the wheel before and was very nervous. They take you to a quiet neighborhood in ridgewood and teach you the basics before putting you in the driver's seat. They make sure you are aware of your mistakes but make sure you know how to fix them. My last couple of classes they tell you in what direction to drive and act like it's the road test. I love this because it gets your mind set ready as if it was the road test and they absolutely make sure you ready. The instructors Camacho William and Mateo are all amazing.

Best driving experience of all time. My instructors were Raul & Ralph and they were both amazing. Very calm, informative, and detailed. They break it down for you in such an easy way that as a first time driver you're able to execute and learn quickly with how detailed and patient they are. Amazing experience, passed the road test on my first try after only 5 lessons and the 5-hour exam. Highly recommended, would give them 10 stars if I could!
I had some driving experience and I decided just to give it a shot and took my first driving test without preparation. I failed it in less then 5 minutes and started looking for a driving school. San Juan was the closest one to where I live and I liked their prices so I decided to go with them. I took 8 driving classes with 3 different instructors and I think it’s the best because they all give you some good tips and notes. Every one of them were very helpful and patient with me. Staff at the office is also very cool and professional. I’m very happy I chose them.
